    Shri Surjeet Mahalik is an astute and a result oriented professional with more than 3 decades of extensive experience in the Oil Industry in India. He has attained proficiency in Business Development and achieved 100% customer satisfaction by;-Breaking new avenues and Sales growth, Customer Relationship Management, Establishing Brands.

    He has held various Leadership positions as Territory Manager, Head of New Urban Initiatives-Quick Serve Retail Outlet, and Role Holder at the Retail HQ for Urban & Highway Retailing. He has worked as second in command in the Retail Business in Western Region before taking over as Head of Retail, Eastern Region. After spearheading Eastern Region successfully for 3 years, he is now currently the Head of Retail, Northern Region.

    Surjeet Mahalik is having the experience of handling highly dynamic and challenging assignments in the areas of Strategic Management, Sales, Marketing, Brand management and business development. And having worked in diverse roles has enabled him to create value on sustained basis and facilitate comprehensive understanding of the Energy Sector both at themacro and micro levels.

    He has been fostering an environment within BPCL that encourages and rewards ‘strategic innovation’. He was a core member of the prestigious organization-wide transformational Project WIN-“We Innovate Now”. He has Rejuvenated Pure For Sure Platinum Brand, formulated policies and implemented processes for empowering field staff and facilitating quicker decision making and developed matrix for “cost cutting-cash release” measures. He has also streamlined systems and leveraged technology to achieve operational excellence and to foster governance through dip-stick audit, cross territory audit and exception reporting.

    Surjeet Mahalik, as Head of Retail Business in East,developed model for Upgradation of Dealer controlled outlets in rural areas with higher license fee recovery that pushed the Region to No.1 position. He has led strategic initiatives to drive market share by strengthening of Infrastructure, network expansion and upgradation in important National Highways and Urban markets and enhanced focus on rural market.
    He has beendriving cross-functional synergies, aligning structures and exploiting analytics for sustained value creation. He has created new State Offices/ Territories, restructured numerous sales areas and leveraged analytics to enhance customer centricity. He has alsopartnered with Ministry, Industry, Top management, Unions, Transporters while holding critical leadership positions like Head (Retail) Eastto maximize value creation.
    As a Development Coach hehas invested time in personally coaching the leaders of tomorrow. Capacity Building of employees, dealers, driveway salesmen and our partners/ vendors has been his overriding priority. As a P&L Head he has successfully instilled cost leadership and profitability in the DNA of his team members. He spends substantial time with Gen Y and Z to pass BPCL’s culture, values and legacy to next generations.

    He has spearheaded numerous Corporate Social Responsibility projects like providing drinking water supply for villages , Computer lab for Schools,Repair/Construction of Toilets under “Swachh Bharat” Mission , Mobile dispensary etc.

    His vision is to fuel sustainable growth by building an agile and customer-centric organization with talent as the backbone and unwavering focus on governance.




    Shri Manjeet Singh is working as Vice President (Project & JV Co-ordination) at Indraprastha Gas Ltd. He is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from the premier Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi. He possesses a rich and diverse experience in oil and gas sector encompassing more than 25 years. He has had a wide experience in Projects, Retail and Operations during career in renowned organizations like BPCL, Shell and IGL. During his stint in BPCL, Manjeet Singh was involved in setting up of ATF fuelling hydrant system at IGI Airport, New Delhi. He was also involved in setting up of Additional Product Tankage (APT) while constructing new oil depots and installations across northern region. Under his supervision and during his tenure in Shell, demonstration retail outlets had been set up in Delhi and Mumbai. These outlets were a showcase of modern retailing concept involving non- fuel retail, which changed the image of fuel retailing in India. He has been involved with setting up of CNG infrastructure in Delhi right from its inception. He has been the force behind developing the network of CNG stations in the city of Delhi.




    Shri. R C Gupta is an associate member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is also B.Com, M.Com & MBA. He superannuated from services of GAIL as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) in August 2017 after serving GAIL for more than 25 years in various capacities at various locations. He has been on the Board of Directors of GAIL Global (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., GAIL Global (USA) Inc., GAIL Global (USA) LNG LLC, Ratnagiri Gas & Power Private Ltd., Tapi Pipeline Co. and GAIL Gas Ltd.

    He has over 30 years of experience ranging from Teaching, Exports Management, Financial & Cost Accounting, Financial Management, System Development, Treasury & Risk Management, Project Finance, Financial Appraisal and Management Information Systems.

    He started his career in 1980 with Government College, Rajgarh in Rajasthan where he taught Accountancy, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Statistics and Auditing to B.Com students. He joined corporate sector in 1982 at BHEL, New Delhi. In BHEL, he worked in Exports Division and Corporate Budget & MIS Department. He was also associated with cost studies taken up by BICP for BHEL products. After serving BHEL for 10 years, he moved to GAIL, a Maha Ratna and No. 1 of Gas Company of India, in 1992 and served in various capacities at Baroda, Noida, Pata and Corporate Office, New Delhi. At Baroda, apart from working as Head of Finance, he has been closely involved in development of Pay roll System, Financial Accounting System, Gas Accounting System in respect of natural gas business. He moved from Baroda to Noida in July 1999. At Noida, he was the Head of Finance for Central Marketing Group and set up the marketing finance section for Petrochemical business of GAIL which was started in that year. He was instrumental in development & implementation of Sale Order Processing system specially designed for Petrochemical business of GAIL. He moved to Corporate Office in October 2002 and set up Management Accounting Cell (MAC). He was involved in the first ever IPO of GAIL and arranged domestic & foreign currency loans for the company. He was also involved in financial appraisal & approval of large pipeline projects and implementation of SAP. He moved to GAIL’s petrochemical plant at Pata as Head of Finance in May 2008. He came back to Corporate Office in July 2010 and worked as HOD Finance for Project Execution Department till Dec 2014. He then became HOD Finance & Accounts for GAIL looking after all the Finance & Accounts activities including Consolidation of Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, Business Development Finance, Investor Relations, Management Accounting, Marketing, E&P, R&D, PF, Gratuity finance etc. and Coordination with Auditors, Ministry, DPE & other agencies till superannuation.

    He served as vice chairman & chairman of the Noida chapter of Cost Accountants during 2000-01 & 2001-02 respectively. He is associated with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India for various activities.

    He has participated in various management programmes, conferences and seminars organized by reputed institutions in India & abroad. He has also taken sessions in various training programmes.
